Triangle Analytical Announces Instrument Brokering Division

Cary, NC March  1, 2004— Triangle  Analytical, Inc., a leader in aftermarket NMR service and support, announced today the creation of a new NMR instrument brokering service.

“We chose to focus on the core business of service and support in 2003 and only flirted with pre-owned parts and instrument resale,” said Jerry Hatvany, President and Founder of Triangle Analytical, Inc. “2004 brings with it new opportunities for diversification and we see a huge opportunity in reselling high quality NMR instrumentation.”

Triangle Analytical, Inc. has expanded its facility and is in the process of creating a fully functional NMR spectroscopy applications laboratory. The benefit to the consumer will be the ability to view the instruments in working condition and to run system tests and acquire representative spectral data. “We looked at the competition and realized once again, there are better ways to serve the end-user,” said Hatvany. “Customers looking for quality pre-owned NMR instrumentation will be able to visit our North Carolina facility and test drive the instruments. Traditional brokers sell instruments as-is. For something as complicated and expensive as an NMR spectrometer, we believe the consumer needs to be able to try the instrument on for size before committing to such a large investment. In addition, the customer can be assured that the NMR spectrometers on offer by Triangle Analytical, Inc. have been hand selected for quality and longevity and will be professionally decommissioned, moved and re-installed by our top-notch engineers.”

Triangle Analytical, Inc. is in the process of expanding into an adjacent facility and will begin renovations on their existing facility in April or May of 2004. The applications laboratory should be complete by the end of Q3, 2004.
